On Wednesday 3rd June, at Cumberwell Park Golf Club near Bath, some 60 golfers of varying handicaps competed in this inaugural 4-ball Stapleford competition to raise money for Help For Heroes and The Royal British Legion. The competing teams were made up of military and civilian personnel stationed in and around Corsham in Wiltshire, including staff from DG ISS, the ATLAS Consortium, DII Group and BT. The event was the brainchild of WO2 (YofS) Clarke Fatchett.
The winning team, with a collective Stapleford score of 97, was DII Copenacre: Lt Col Graham McNeil, Mr Alastair Steele, Mr Duncan Shaw and Regency’s very own Philip Sandford.
After an exhilarating afternoon of golf, Cumberwell Park provided an excellent dinner which was followed by a charity auction. The entire day raised approximately £4,500 and Regency IT Consulting is proud to have supported these two very worthwhile charities by sponsoring the first hole of the course.
